The faded red truck stands as a fixture at Oho Calente, its weathered paint and rusted edges telling stories of countless journeys. Parked under the dappled shade of nearby trees, it offered an intriguing subject for my watercolor work. As I set up and began to capture its character on paper, the warm sun bathed the scene in a golden glow, enhancing the truck's rustic charm.

Just as I added the final strokes to the wheel well, a sudden rumble interrupted my focus. I turned just in time to see a large truck backing up, its tires crunching gravel as it closed in on my makeshift studio. Heart racing, I quickly moved to the side, narrowly escaping what would have been a rather squished encounter.

After the brief scare, I returned to my painting, the moment adding an unexpected thrill to the experience. The truck remained steadfast in its place as I reflected on the day—both serene and startling, captured forever in watercolors.
